This project involved designing and testing a proof-of-concept wall-mounted UV phone sanitizer for CleanSlate UV, aimed at reducing hospital-acquired infections to protect immunocompromised patients. Following an engineering design process, the team defined requirements, conducted market research, and iterated through multiple design concepts. Pilot tests, UX studies, and stress analysis verified the effectiveness of the prototype, achieving a 99.9% bacteria elimination rate with a payback period of just 3.7 months. Weekly client meetings ensured alignment and timely progress, resulting in a viable solution for healthcare settings.
