This research investigated the social-psychological factors influencing distracted driving among teenagers. Utilizing survey data from over 100 participants, data cleaning and statistical analysis were conducted using R to identify meaningful trends. The study discovered that young drivers often overestimate their parents’ engagement in and approval of distracted driving, which positively correlates with their own distracted behaviors. These insights provide a foundation for developing interventions to reduce distracted driving among youth, enhancing road safety and behavioral outcomes.
